Hello all,
dreams are a wonderful wonderful thing and too often do i find that most people dont recall their dreams once waking... to me that is sad since dreams can help us make better choices in our lives as well as understand better what is going on with us and around us..
so.. i thought id list some things to help with dream recall..
one thing is to keep a dream journal.. i have found that the more you write your dreams down the more likely you are to remember the following nights dream... also a side benefit of keeping a dream journal is the fact that while you are writing your dream down more often then not more facts and details of the dream will come to you as well as being able to look back and notice reoccuring themes in dreams and possibly finding the meaning behind it all more easily...
another method is to program yourself to remember your dreams.. to do this all you have to do is tell yourself each night before you go to sleep that you will remember your dreams in the morning.. it may take a few tries for this to work but what this does is slowly program your subcouncious to remember the dreams upon waking...
another thing i have found very helpful in my own dream recall is to wake up naturally and gently.. meaning that i dont immediately have to draw my attention elsewhere.. this way i can lay in bed for a few mins before i open my eyes and reflect on the dream.. if you can keep your focus on the dream you should be able to go through all the events in your mind leaving them fresh in your councious.
combining all 3 of these together will leave you with a better success rate and perhaps you will even start remembering more then one of your dreams for the night
