Hello all,
thought id share one of my infamous snake dreams with you all and see if anyone can help me out on this... it woke me up very early this morning because i was so compelled to write it down as to not forget some of the details ect...

anyways in the dream i was living with one of my former roommates (who also used to have snakes).. we had just moved into a new apartment... she had MANY snakes and some of the younger ones were being neglected... then there were 2 guys staying with us.. i remember them to be exchange students or something... they were getting on my last nerve because they kept stealing my car!!! the last time they stole it i had to walk into town and pick it up and when icame back home is when all the chaos started!! once i got home i found rocky (the roommate) feeding one of her snakes... i was glad to see this as she hadnt fed them in forever! (whats up with dreams of starving snakes?) anyways.. she was feeding the largest snake who actually was another friend of mines old snake (in real life).. i was not affraid of that snake as i knew he could be trusted even drake was safe around him... i was glad that she was finally feeding the snakes! then she decided that she had to leave... there was one tank that had oh probably about 50 snakes in it.. they were all younger... it accidently tiped over and all the snakes scattered and got lose... i grabed drake and made him leave the house with me, after we had just spent a good while in the kitchen (the snakes got lose in the livingroom) hiding from them.. i was trying to figure out how to catch them all and get them back in the tank... at first there were only 3 tanks of snakes... one for the large snake.. one for all of the smaller ones and a feeding tank with many rats in it.. then some girls came over to visit.. i didnt like them as they were snobby... i remember asking them to help me get the snakes put away again since i was affraid for drakes sake.. they would not help me though!! at this point we are also standing in the livingroom again wading through the snakes trying to avoid them... the next thing i remember is one of the smaller snakes had gotten into the feeding tank with all of the mice... some other snakes had also made it in... i saw 2 snakes starting to eat themselves.. then another one trying to eat a bunch of smaller snakes (all in the feeding tank).. they didnt really bother me too much since they were in the tanks and were occupied.. i did feel bad about some of the snakes perhaps dieing though... at one point i had to get something which had fallen under the fridge (which was in the living room) and when i did i pulled out several more snakes... the place was infested with them and there was no telling just how many were in the apartment and where they were!! then i grabed the phone and called Adelfa, asked her if she could please come and help me gather up these snakes.... she was not able to do so though but sent a friend of hers or maybe it was her son? i was suprised at how fast he showed up since the live in mexico... he came in and told me adelfa had sent him and what could he do to help... i told him we needed to get all the snakes out of the apartment.. that i was worried about drake.. he told me ok and that i should just hold drake and keep him safe in the process... drake kept trying to get down and play with the snakes in the dream.. i was so affraid of his hands being eaten (whats the deal with hands being eaten?)... it was very hard running behind him trying to keep him safe without getting snaped at by a snake in the process... so anyways adelfas friend started helping me.. he opened the front door started picking up snakes and would carry them outside... one of the first snakes he picked up was a black and white one and for some reason i felt it was my cat spanky just that he was a snake.. i told him he was ok to stay in the house, but he had already set him outside... i figured well, spanky knows this is his home and he will come back... as adlefas friend started tossing more and more snakes outside i saw something there.. when i went to look i realized there were about 15 kittens (2 sets) out there.. some of them were ragdolls and they were just beautiful.. i remember only two of them had blue eyes.. i couldnt find the mommy cats... and felt they had been abandoned! i wanted to take them in and get them away from the snakes because they were sure to be food! but we still had more snakes inside then outside... i went back inside and prayed for the little kittens, hopeing that id be able to take them in and nurse them and then find most of them good homes (i was going to keep one or two of them)... then my landlord and a girl showed up with some kind of animal in a large carrier... the carrier was green... the landlord started yelling and i was affraid that i would get evicted since now the entire area was going to be overrun with snakes... oh and i also remember seeing baby snakes along with the kittens, but again no mommy snake around to feed them ect... so... back to the landlord... so i was affraid of the consequences of my roommates desicions... BUT the landlord said, we have something here to help! the girl opened up the carrier and inside was either a ferret or an ant eater.... it was a ferret at first but then turned into an ant eater.. it suposedly ate snakes though.. and they were going to set it lose in the apartment so it would eat all of the snakes... i wanted to get the large snake to make sure he was not eaten, and i was also concerned that there were too many snakes for this animal to eat... then i woke up feeling compelled to write this dream down..

snake dreams are uhm VERY common for me.. i have 2 a month from fall through spring (oddly not in the summer though)... usually i have them around the 10th and 20th of each month so i assume i will have 3 this month... for the life of me i cant figure out what the snakes mean.. ive been having snake dreams since well since i was little.. and i still cant make any sense out of them!

thankies for the link hon, it was very insightful and interesting.. however if i look at it that way (and perhaps i should) not all of the snakes mean the same thing.. if they did it just wouldnt fit in with my life.. also i dont understand why i dream of them so frequently and just like clock work.. im a semi lucid dreamer.. to the extent that i know that im dreaming ALWAYS however only once has it clicked in my head that i can do what i want in the dream lol (that was a fun one)... my snake dreams used to terrify me until i had one with a masked serpent.. the entire town was being taken over by snakes and they were killing everyone.. i grabed all the people i could and we tried to get out of town.. we ended up in this old abandoned house on the outskirts of town.. the snakes still found us.. i started to look for an escape for us or something to save our lives.. then the snakes all slithered to either sides of the house and in came this large serpent wearing a tiki mask with feathers on it.. he came up to me removed his mask and said "you dont have to be affraid of us! we will not hurt YOU!"
after that dream i felt more at ease with my snake dreams, but still worry about being bitten... now the dream last night and the one i had around the 20th of October both involved hungry snakes and i was affraid of being eaten... also in both dreams they were going for hands.. the previous dream was me and this dream was drake.. that theme is brand new to me and my snake dreams lol.. im not sure what to think of it

Hi,snake dreams are quite common and I believe they mean you will overcome problems/obstacles or enemies.
