Opening Psychic Awareness

This is an exercise, for opening psychic awareness. It is adapted from my website at: http://psychicbody.cjb.net

Psychic impressions of objects, places and people fall under the category of what is known as "psychometry". This is the basis of perceptual-based psychic abilities, because you are focussing your awareness, through your senses. Extra Sensory Perception, or "ESP" describes the the concept of perceptual psychic phenomena. This exercise will help you to channel your awareness. All psychics do this, to some degree and the advanced can expand upon this skill. Collect some different coloured pens or markers--yellow, black, white, red, blue. As long as the colours clash with one another, any ones will do. In a quiet place, lay the markers out in front of you. Place your hands above them and mentally "touch" the colours. In your mind, ask yourself how each feels; light, dark--warm, cool etc. Once you have become familiar with the idea of "feeling" colours: relax yourself, then close your eyes and then mix the markers. Place your hands over them, again (eyes remaining closed). Clear your mind and this time, mentally "reach" through your fingers, as if you are actually seeing and touching the colours. Pick up one of the markers and imagine that your eyes are at the tips of your fingers. Do you see or feel anything? Does the impression that comes resemble that of the ones you had, when your eyes where open? Does it have a "density" to it, that may tell the shade/colour? When you are ready, open your eyes and see how well you did. Repeat the process. For fun, you can use cards, magazines or whatever else. Sometimes, rubbing your hands together, prior to the attempt, helps. With practice, you will be able to actually feel the shade of each with your mind, then the colour.
