This was the topic of choice for the Psychic Development Class tonight for those of you who could not attend.
There are many methods we can use to clear ourslelves of unwanted energies. I find if I'm in a stressful situation I would blast who ever may be causing the stress with white light. I then encase myself in white light to shield me along with creating a gold pyramid around myself for added protection. . As an Empath I can easily pick up the emotions of others and take on their feelings. I remind myself that those feelings don't belong to me and I consciously send them right back to the source.
When clearing my home of these energies I call in white light throughout my home (please see house clearing and personal clearing article for clearing methods).
I'm also Telepathic so I created a great system for myself when I need added protection. My step-son happens to be psychic so I send telepathic messages to him to send me white light and a protective shield. I first programmed the message so everytime I need it I send a message to his higher self asking for permission first to send the message and if his higher self agrees he will in turn do as I instructed. I programmed it so that every time I count to three he will white light me, then pink light me when finished along with calling in first the net then the psychic vacume coupled with the white light again. I tell him to scan my body first before removing the vacume to ensure all is gone then he does one more white light and finishes with the pink.I do it at the same time making it that much stronger..As a developing medium I'm learning to keep these spirits at bay and it's finally working (always remember when calling in white light to start with white light then end with pink followed by a pyramid and do the light 3 times before finishing with the pink)
If you feel an attachment you can use the psychic net and psychic vacume method to remove them (please see articles on each for instructions in the Seekers Door Psychic Development section of the forum)
This will also work for you as it has been tried and proven many times. I am now able to clear spirits from my home using these methods.
