Auric Vision Exercises

Sit comfortably in a semi-darkened room. The light should not be glaring from any one particular place, try doing this in a room with a dimmer. If you do not have access to a dimmer, try an unobtrusive candle or two off to the side. Sit facing a mirror; make sure the light is not directly reflecting into the mirror. You should be able to see yourself clearly, if not somewhat shaded. Take a few deep relaxing breaths. I prefer to ground myself whenever I work with energy (mine or anyone else’s). Just imagine a long tree trunk, brown and beautiful, running from the base of your spine to the centre of the earth. Run any negative energy you have down it. Imagine a beautiful silver cord stretching from the crown of your head upwards to the heavens. Visualize white and yellow light running down the cord and filling you. Once you are relaxed begin gazing in the mirror. Do not stare directly at your face but rather at the outline of your head. Relax your vision and don’t strain to focus. Your vision will begin to blur, that is ok. Don’t concern yourself with blinking either.

You will begin to see a glow around the outline of your head. With deep breaths, breathe the white light in again and push that glow out. With practice you can extend your aura as far as you like. Over time, you will be able to go through these initial steps quicker and quicker and your auric vision will automatically be there. In the mean time, don’t rush the initial steps. Relaxing and being in the correct state of mind is as important to auric vision as it is to APing. You may or may not see colour. Usually, that takes some time to develop. If that is your goal, do not become discouraged. You will see it with work. Seeing colour can be beneficial as an aid for working with healing energy. You can see where the blocked channels are. I do not usually see many colours but to be honest, I do not work on that. I can feel energy very well and if you can feel the block, it is as good as seeing the block (if not less spectacular). Good Luck and let me know how it goes.

Exercise 2

This exercise is designed to see Aura for the first time and/or practice seeing Auras. Choosing good conditions is important: not only you see the Aura better, but also to gain a confidence about what you see.

1. Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated plain white background. A colour background will change Aura colours, so you need additional knowledge about combining colours. Some combinations of background and Aura colours may cause misinterpretation problems.

2. Choose one spot to look at. The middle of the forehead is very good. This is a location of so called Brow Chakra or the Third Eye. In some cultures (India) they put a mark on a forehead. Such a mark in ancient times meant the invitation to look and see the Aura.

3. Look at this spot for 30 to 60 seconds or longer

4. After 30 seconds analyze surroundings with your peripheral vision, while still looking at the same spot. Continuing the concentration is most important. Resist temptation to look around. You should see that the background nearby the person is brighter and has a different colour than the background further away. This is your own perception of the Aura. The longer you concentrate, the better you will see it. Remember, concentration on one spot increases your sensitivity by accumulating the effect of the Aura vibration reaching your eyes.

5. Most advanced Aura exercises are performed in total darkness, but require hours of concentration and systematic practice. Good Luck!
