AM I HAUNTED?

The following are some common signs that your house may have something supernatural hanging around. Hauntings won't have all of the below symptoms (unless it's something powerful or negative) but maybe just a selected few. Every haunting is unique and follows different paths.

What you MUST do before you start believing that your house is haunted is to always look for the natural and logical explanation for the symptoms that you will read below. Just because you hear banging on the walls doesn't make it a ghost. This could be something as simple as waterpipes or creaking wood in the roof, or maybe if you feel cold spots then perhaps it's cold air coming in through an air vent or crack under the window.

Keep a log in a notebook of everything that is happening. Note down times, places of occurrence and events. This would be an excellent source of information should you decide to ask an investigator to come to your house. It would let them know what is happening, what they might be dealing with and what method to use in bringing closure to the haunting.

Once you feel that no natural explanation can be found and would like to call out an investigator, please don't use the first one you find if you are after immediate assistance. Ask around and find out exactly who they are, how many investigations they have done and what they can do to bring you closure.

If your haunting is not bothering you and you would just like to get some pictures for your own personal collection etc., then maybe you might like to try giving someone new a go so they can gain practice and experience with this field of work because it's a hard business to get into professionally.

The symptoms of a haunting.

Banging on the walls
Scratching on walls and under beds
Strange sounds.
Voices such as: screaming, crying and calling your name
Hearing conversations.
Apparitions - black shadows, mists, moving balls of light and of course full body human figures
Cold spots that are still or moving.
Rooms much colder than the rest of the house.
Smells - good and bad - death or perfume smells etc.
Furniture and objects moving around the house.
Things going missing or being replaced after looking everywhere.
Strange anomalies in photos taken inside and around the house.
Footsteps walking through the house.
Beds shaking.
Bed sheets being pulled off or becoming tight.
The feeling of someone sitting on or getting into bed.
Lights turning on and off.
Any electrical appliances turning themselves on or off - TV's are common and also the volume going up and down.
Hair being played with and pulled.
Corner of the eye movements.
Feeling watched.
Feeling bad vibes.
Having bad dreams of something inside your house or related.

I can say that several of these things listed I can relate too.

Another common thing is doors opening and closing by themselves and the car alarm going off just as I'm about to get into the car. This never happened to my spouse only me.

i have experienced most of these things at one point or another in my life.. when i was younger i even had some poltergeist activity and it only seemed to 'mess' with me!

Spirits!

What freaked me out the most was feeling them like touching me literally.

I eventually started shielding, grounding and centering (although sometimes it can be laxed, lol). The most amount of activity and expereinces happened when I just opened up. I was dealing with a house full of spirits overnight and lived with it for over a year. I had no clue what I was doing either. It took a long time to get that control back but when I did it was learning experience and a very valuable one.

i dont really think the touching has ever botherd me since it was always from positive spirits... one experience i will never forget though was when i was roughly 11 or 12 years old.. i had this little toy from a fast food place that played a xmas song if u pressed its belly... i used to press it with it under my pillow each night to help myself fall asleep... well one morning i woke up rather early.. the sun was already up but it was still too early for me to wake up... i woke up because i heard that little toy hit the floor.. it had fallen off of my bed.. i decided to pick it up and go back to sleep.. but as i was reaching my hand down to it i could clearly see its stomach being pressed in (though i could not see anything there to press it) and it started playing music.. i started to freak out! the song would stop and i thought i was just going crazy so went to pick it up again.. as soon as my hand was almost touching it.. there it went again, and again i could see that something was pressing it making it play the song! i then decided i was not going crazy and that there was something in my room RIGHT NEXT TO me on the floor!!! i pulled the covers over my head and layed in the fetal position just absolutely terrified! i didnt want to scream for help as i thought it may provoke whatever was there and by the time i got help it may be too late... i didnt want to hop off of my bed and run out of the room as i feared it would just chase me... so i layed there and layed there... and over and over it would press the toy... i just wanted it to stop and leave me alone... i would have cried but was affraid it would have drawn more attention to me so i layed there without movement without sound.. even affraid to breathe! after roughly 3 hrs of tormenting my mother finally came in my room wondering why i hadnt gotten up yet.. i hoped off of the bed and ran out! it took months for me to be able to sleep properly again in my room!... in that time i also had other experiences like my radio turning itself on and off.. my brothers belongings mysteriously ending up in my room, closet doors opening and shutting ect... it was a terrifing experince... if it were to happen to me now id more then likely bitch at whatever was doing it (just like i did the spirit a few weeks ago that wouldnt let me sleep)...

Ghosts!

What amazing experiences.

I know when spirits entered into my life again and it was pretty scary for me. The more I freaked the worse it got until one day I looked around and the next thing I Knew my home was full of spirits, I mean full like you couldn't breath. I was able to handle this exerience though and it was my time to do so. I'm convinced of that.

I only now know what to do when it comes to blocking, shielding and clearing myself. This is a far cry from a year ago, lol..

ive always has spirits of one sort of another around me.. and when i was still very very young i could see spirits.. this was a gift i had blocked out since i was so terrified of it (as well as my clairaudience).. anyways shortly after i turned 19 i was spending the night at a friends house.. everyone had already went to bed and i was watching some tv on the couch.. all the sudden i see this shadow figure walk down the hall into the livingroom and then it just stood there looking at me from less then 6ft away! feelings of terror raced through me again! lol and this time i did hide under the covers again as well... anyways to make a long story short.. i calmed myself down and realized that whatever that was was not negative and was not going to harm me.. my gift was just finally starting to open itself again.. this is why i only see them as shadows now.. every once in a while ill get more deffinition but mainly just still shadows and shillohetes of the people they used to be..

That's what I get a white outline of them and on occasion I may get a glimpse of a face but never a full body. I have also seen black shadows too. I can clearly pic them out in photos and they always appear cartoonie looking.

It becomes less frightening as you become more exposed I find anyway. The mere presents of them frightened me but now I'm in control not them.

there was one time a spirit showed himself to me... like he was laying in front of me and was not transparent or anything like that ... he looked as alive as me or you! also when he did this, i was video taping.. and yes i did catch him on tape.. the odd thing about it though was that every time we replayed the tape it showed a different part of his body!!! anyways i dont get the white outline or anything just a black shadow.. that is why it freaked me out so bad back then.. lol i figured if it was dark it was negative.. i was wrong though lol... i do not see them all the time either, i guess i can only see the ones that want me to see them.. i dono?

I truly believe the ones that appear do so because they want to be helped.

They come to you since they know you know how to give it as a medium or can find it for them.

My step-son sees what you do the black outlines and sometimes all in black like solid looking. It only happened for a short time. He has since learned to block them and they stop coming to him.

So... what is the difference between a "ghost" and a "spirit"? Same thing, different name??

The only thing (that I'm aware of) that sometimes comes around me is my dog, Muffin. My current dog (Mocha) can "see" her, and Muffin likes to mess around with Mocha quite a bit. I can't see her, but sometimes I can sense when she's near. But Mocha usually gives me the "heads up" on any visits from Muffin.

well personally id consider a ghost someone who has died yet never moved on from this plane... one who is earthbound for whatever reason ... whereas i would consider a spirit anything from a spirit guide to a person who has passed and then crossed over, or the same with pets (ones that are not earth bound) ect.. .
these are just my deffenitions on the subject so someone else may say something else about it lol

Spirits!

In my opinion a spirit is a spirit!

You have your own spirit as a living being and when we die our spirit still remains. The difference is wether or not they cross over or remain earthbound but in the end it's a spirit of a person or animal if you will (depending on what you encounter).

I suppose they are one and the same essentially, though I'm more comfortable with Myth's definitions -- I feel like a "ghost" would be one to come and scare the bejezus out of me, while a "spirit" would be aware that it better come softly or risk my joining them on the the other side... Very Happy

I guess I associate the term "spirit" with spirit guide, angel, or even folks that have passed who knew me in life -- with "love" I suppose. Whereas a "ghost" would be something that wants to get my attention for some reason of it's own need and not necessarily concerned with how I feel about it.

If that makes sense.

This too makes sense and it's all open to interpretation.

I had a few nasties come my way when I first opened up and I call them entities (lol)...Thank god I have not encountered that again since.

The way I figured out they were infact entities is I kept feeling wind and hearing it gushing in my ears......That's how I distinguished what they were.

Trolly car spirits.

I had visited one of my sisters in oregon. and while there at exactly 12:15
p.m I felt as though her living room became so over croweded. a few moments later the room became lighter . Then at exactly 4:30 p.m it happened again. It was as though a lot of people came thru the front door
and left out the back door. This kepted happening each day and early evening at the same time. So I went to the city hall and asked if the location of where my sister lived had once been a trolly car line. And the answer was yes. The trolly lost bussiness when cars and buses became
into use. in 1947. the trolly ran from 1898 untill 1947. and the tracks, or
I should say the residual energy of the people and the tracks ran right
through my sisters residents.

Risidual Energy

Isn't that something knowing.

It's like the castle I visited with my step-son which was haunted and they showed several images in photos of how they died.. One was an orb like figure jumping off the balcony and in another shot you can see the head of a man placed on a pole. I don't think it applies to residual energy but I do believe the spirits are replaying over and over how they died at the moment they did. You can see the images on the celtic vision site

Animals are very attuned to energies particularly spirit energies, they can see them, feel them and hear then when we can't. When my dog picks up what I can't she let's me know it.

I don't see or feel anything around my home now; but when I lived in Hawaii a lot of stuff went on - most particularly the bed shaking business. I finally got mad and told them to quit it and it stopped. LOL.

Ghosts!

When I opened up again after many years of blocking spirits I encountered many of them in my home. I had one tapp my side of the bed and my husband's, follow me, and many other things but as I got stronger the activity got less and less until it finally stopped.

I think as a medium you are meant to experience things for your development and that's why certain spirits come to you, this is only my two cents of course.

white shadow/smokey ball ?

Has anyone ever seen or can anyone explain what i saw on Sunday night?

It was late and I was in bed finalizing some work, when i saw a ball, the size of a soccer ball, that looked like a white shadow (except it was rounded) almost Smokey.
It had almost like a tail behind it like a comet but the tail was much shorter.
It was moving across the floor out the bedroom door about 2 cm above the ground. it moved smoothly as if it was sliding but it was quite slow.

P.S. I only see thing with my peripheral vision, but i saw it for about 5 seconds before it had past the door.

I was cleaning my crystals that day and I had them lying in salt in the back corner of the bedroom, could this be energy that came from the crystals or do you think it could have been something from another dimension or a type of gost perhaps?

Ussually I get quite freaked out when I see something, but this did not scare me at all...

Thats great, I recentlly started a fairy garden in one of my trees. With fairies swinging from branches, frogs etc.
I was even considering of starting a meditation temple under this tree because of it's beauty and peacefulness.
Perhaps they are very happy with this type of recognition.

if youd like to attract more fae u can leave them offerings, things like bread or honey and milk are great! just be cautious about inviting them INTO your house. while the fae can be very helpful they can also wreak alot of havoc for you (things will constantly go missing).

That explains my house keys dissapearing!!
I've ben looking for them for 3 weeks already and I still havn't found them.
I know theyhave to be somewhere in the house but where is the question...
Any idea on how you can ask them to return things... Confused

usually they will return things when they feel like it, but sometimes if u explain to them that you NEED said item back it will show up a few days later.
