DICTIONARY METHOD - Posted: Mon Nov 13, 2006 2:58 pm

Get your dictionary and hold it in your lap or on the table in front of you.
Close your eyes and go to your basic psychic level.
With your eyes still closed, ask any question, out loud, that you want to find the answer.
Then, keeping your eyes closed, riffle through the dictionary until your intuition (gut feel) tells you to stop. The goal is to find the word that represents the answer you seek. You may need riffle front to back and front a number of times before you feel you have reached the place were the answer is (with practice this will develop your intuition).
At the moment you feel you reached the right place, stop riffling the pages and place the tip of your finger somewhere on either of the two open pages. Choose what feels to you to be the right spot.
Keeping your finger on the spot, open your eyes and read the definitions of the word to which your finger is pointing. You will see the answer or a clue to the answer of your question.
Example: Suppose you asked, “what would be my future as a professional writer”?
You riffle the pages and point. When you open your eyes your finger is on the definition of “pittance”.
One of the meanings for this word is scanty-income or remuneration. So you found your answer.
This is good practice for developing. One reason for this is that you may not understand the dictionary’s answer at the time, but as later events happen in your life you will see how accurate the dictionary was. I suggest getting a log book to track your progress for these workshops.
